20-Minute Organic Healing Salad (Oil-Free & Plant-Based)

Looking for a quick, oil-free, plant-based salad recipe that’s ready in under 20 minutes? This creamy avocado salad is made with fresh organic produce, sprouted sunflower seeds, and a simple lime or lemon dressing — perfect for busy weekdays or easy meal prep.

If you’ve done your meal prep ahead of time, this salad comes together in under 10 minutes.

Why I Love This Salad

  • Plant-based and oil-free

  • Made with organic produce

  • Naturally creamy (no bottled dressing)

  • Fiber-rich and filling

  • Easy to customize

  • Quick to assemble with simple prep

I use organic ingredients whenever possible, including the greens, vegetables, seeds, and dried fruit.

Ingredients

Salad Base

  • 2–3 cups organic baby lettuce, spring mix, or baby mix (I often use the organic mix from Costco)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped organic onion

  • ½ cup chopped organic bell peppers (red, yellow, orange)

  • ½ cup chopped organic cucumber

  • 2 tablespoons Go Raw organic sprouted sunflower seeds (2-ingredient version from Costco)

  • 2 tablespoons organic unsweetened dried cranberries (I use the 365 brand from Whole Foods)

Optional Add-Ins

  • ¼ cup shredded organic carrots

  • ¼ cup chopped cooked organic beets

  • 1/2 cup onion rings

Creamy Avocado Dressing (Oil-Free)

  • 1 ripe organic avocado

  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh lime juice OR lemon juice

  • Pinch of salt (optional)

  • 2–4 tablespoons water (adjust for desired consistency)

Optional additions:

  • 1 clove organic garlic

  • Red chili flakes for spice

Instructions

  1. Wash all greens thoroughly. If using whole lettuce, chop into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Spin the greens dry using a salad spinner. Removing excess water keeps the salad crisp and helps the dressing coat evenly.

  3. Chop onions, bell peppers, and cucumber. (If you’ve already meal-prepped your veggies, this step takes seconds.)

  4. Add greens to a large bowl—layer in vegetables, sunflower seeds, and cranberries.

  5. In a blender, combine avocado, lime or lemon juice, salt (if using), and water. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  6. Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently until evenly coated.

Serve immediately and enjoy fresh.

Notes

  • With pre-washed greens and pre-chopped vegetables, this salad comes together in under 10 minutes.

  • The Go Raw sprouted sunflower seeds add clean crunch and healthy fats without heaviness.

  • The organic cranberries add natural sweetness and balance the citrus.

  • You can use lime or lemon, depending on what you have available.

Healthy doesn’t have to be complicated. It just needs to be balanced.
